Our Approach Welcome to ZOOM WEDDING STUDIO

Hi, I’m Denis Zwicky, the founder of Zoom Wedding Studio.

After 8+ years in the wedding industry, I’ve learned what truly matters on a wedding day. Based on that experience, I’ve built a trusted team of photographers and videographers who share the same approach and standards.

We work calmly and unobtrusively, focusing on real emotions and meaningful moments. Our process is designed to stay flexible, thoughtful, and reliable — even when the day doesn’t go exactly as planned.

This allows us to deliver clean, timeless photos and films that feel natural, cohesive, and true to your story.

FAQ Have any questions?

Answers to your most common questions so you feel confident in choosing us.

General

  • Where do I find pricing and availability?
On average, our combined photo and video packages start at $3,200. To receive a personalized quote and check our availability for your date, please fill out our contact form. Our manager will get back to you within a few hours to discuss details and provide you with our full price list.
  • What if I want to add upgrades later?
No problem at all! Once you book with us, our manager will be at your disposal to act as your wedding guide. If you decide later on that you want to add extra hours, a second photographer, or an additional videographer, we can easily update your package to fit your evolving needs.
  • What is your style?

Our team primarily focuses on a timeless, classic style of photography and videography, which you can explore in our portfolio and project pages. While we have a signature look, we are always open to your specific vision—if you have unique requests or inspiration photos, we are happy to adapt our approach to match your style.

  • What makes you the right team for our wedding?

It’s a combination of years of experience, a creative spirit, and a highly organized, friendly team. Beyond just the cameras, you get a dedicated manager to ensure everything runs smoothly, allowing you to relax and enjoy your day while we handle the professional storytelling.

  • Do you travel, or where are you based?

We are based in Miami, FL, and Charlotte, NC, but we love to travel! We are available for destination weddings worldwide and are always excited to follow your love story wherever it leads. Inquire with our manager for travel details and custom arrangements.

  • My venue requires insurance; are you covered?

Yes, absolutely. We carry full professional liability insurance. We can send the certificate (COI) directly to you or contact your venue coordinator to provide all necessary documentation well before your wedding date.

  • What is the booking process?
The process is simple: we will send you a contract to review and sign. Once signed, a deposit (retainer) is required to officially secure your date and our team. The remaining balance is due no later than 3 days before the wedding. Please note that we cannot hold dates without both a signed contract and a retainer.
  • If our schedule runs longer than expected, will you stay?

Yes! If you decide on the day of the wedding that you need more coverage, just let our team or the manager know as soon as possible. You can also ask our manager about hourly rates for extra time before the big day, just in case you think things might run over.

  • What happens if I have to cancel my wedding?

The retainer is non-refundable. This fee ensures that your date is held exclusively for you, meaning we turn down all other clients who request that same date.

  • What is the turnaround time?

We pride ourselves on being fast! You will receive sneak peeks within the first week of your event. We generally deliver the final photo gallery in about 4 weeks and the edited video in about 6 weeks. These timelines may vary slightly depending on the season and our current workload, but we always aim for a speedy delivery.

  • How soon should we book you?
We are typically booked 6 to 15 months in advance. Our "peak" seasons (March through June and August through November) fill up very quickly. If your wedding falls within these popular months, we recommend reaching out as soon as possible to get the ball rolling and secure your date.
  • Can we call you?

We would love to chat! To make sure we are fully prepared to answer all your questions, we recommend messaging our manager first to schedule a time for a call. This allows us to review your details beforehand and give you our undivided attention during the conversation.

Photo

  • Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes, we do! In fact, a complimentary engagement session is included in many of our combined photo and video packages. If your chosen package doesn’t include one, you can always book it separately—just ask our manager for the details.
  • Why do you recommend at least 8 hours of photography coverage?
Based on our extensive experience, 8 to 10 hours is the "sweet spot" needed to fully cover a standard wedding. This timeframe allows us to capture everything from the intimate morning preparations and "getting ready" moments all the way through to the grand exit at the end of the night without feeling rushed.
  • What are the benefits of having a second photographer or videographer?
Having a second professional on-site is a game-changer. It allows our team to work simultaneously—for example, capturing the bride and groom getting ready in different locations at the same time. During the ceremony, it ensures we catch both the walk down the aisle and your fiancé’s reaction. For video, a second shooter provides extra angles, reaction shots, and drone footage, making your final film far more cinematic and multi-dimensional.
  • Do the images come watermarked?
No. You will receive a password-protected online gallery where you can download all your high-resolution images without any watermarks.
  • Will I own the copyright to my photos?
You will receive a print release, which gives you the right to print and share your images anywhere you like for personal use. Zoom Wedding Studio retains the legal copyright as the creator of the images, which is standard professional practice.
  • Do you offer printed photo albums?
Absolutely. We curate and design your wedding album layout in-house to tell the story of your day as elegantly as possible. While some of our premium packages already include an album, they are also available for purchase starting at $450 for a custom 20-page book.
  • Do I need to provide a “shot list”?
For the general wedding day, we capture the story as it unfolds. However, for family formals, a shot list is essential, especially if you have a large guest list. Having a clear list of names and groups helps us move through these portraits quickly and efficiently so you can get back to celebrating!
  • What does “edited photos” actually mean?
Every photo we deliver undergoes professional "RAW conversion." This includes adjusting the white balance, contrast, exposure, highlights/shadows, and lens correction to ensure a polished, professional look. If you require high-end retouching (such as advanced skin work or background alterations), this is available as an additional service. Feel free to ask our manager for more details.
  • Can we request a second photographer or videographer if our package doesn’t have one?
We always recommend adding a second photographer and videographer if your wedding has more than 50 guests or if the bridal party is getting ready in separate locations. This ensures that no moment goes uncaptured.

Video

  • Why do you recommend at least 8 hours of videography coverage?

Just like with photography, 8 to 10 hours of coverage ensures we can tell the complete story of your day. It allows us to capture the build-up during morning preparations, the emotion of the ceremony, and the energy of the reception all the way through to your grand exit. Every moment counts, and this timeframe ensures nothing is missed.

  • Why do I need two or more cameras at my wedding?
Using multiple cameras is essential for professional storytelling. It allows us to capture two different perspectives simultaneously—such as the couple’s vows and the guests’ reactions—providing a much more dynamic and "superlative" final film.
  • What is the purpose of professional audio recording and wireless microphones?

Crystal-clear audio is just as important as the visuals. We use a professional three-source recording setup to ensure we never miss a word:

    • Wireless lavalier microphones on the groom and the officiant.

    • A direct digital recorder connected to the DJ’s soundboard.

    • Backup microphones mounted on our cameras for ambient sound and redundancy. This setup guarantees high-quality audio for your vows and speeches, even if the venue's sound system has issues.

  • What if we want to request edits to the final video?

While we are open to making minor adjustments after you receive your files, we highly encourage you to share any specific "must-haves" or preferences before the wedding. Communicating your vision early helps us tailor the film perfectly to you from the very first edit.

  • What are the actual benefits of a second videographer?

A second videographer does much more than just add "another camera"; they significantly elevate the cinematic quality of your film:

    • Continuous Focus: While the lead videographer stays 100% focused on the main action (ceremony, vows, reactions), the second shooter is free to capture the "extras".

    • Cinematic Drone Coverage: The second shooter can safely launch the drone to capture wide flyovers of the venue and beautiful overhead establishing shots without missing key moments on the ground.

    • Rich Storytelling: They capture time-lapses, guest reactions, and intricate decor details that add depth and make the final film feel more expensive and polished.

    • Smoother Editing: More angles (mobile gimbals + static shots) mean smoother transitions and a much stronger narrative flow in your final edit.
